Hundru Falls, Ranchi tourist places

Ranchi is nature’s reward to mother India which has specially been decorated with falls and streams. Hundru falls is situated about 28 km always from Ranchi. The Swarnarekha River falls from a height of 320 feet making a wonderful scene known as Hundru falls. During rainy season it takes a dreadful form but in summer it turns into an thrilling picnic spot. Hundru Water Fall is situated in the outer periphery of Ranchi. A huge waterfall filled with lush green environment. Parking facility is also available. Some adventure activities are also available like zip lining, boating etc. Winter time is best to visit. Though there are around 750 steps, but they are not too steep. One can easily climb down and return. There are resting places all along the stairs.

Jonha Falls, Ranchi tourist places

Jonha is situated about 40 km away from Ranchi. The road going to waterfall is a bit narrow but not so rough and rugged as well as arduous as that of Hundru. There is also a many tourists rest house which accommodates Lord Gautam Budha’s temple. This falls is named after Gautam as Gautamdhara too, it is easily accesible by road. The tourists can reach upto Gautamdhara station by train also.

Dassam Falls, Ranchi tourist places

About 40 km away from Ranchi on Tata Road waterfalls a village named Taimara near which flows the Kanchi river. Falling from a height of about 144 feet Kanchi river makes a beautiful fall called Dassam falls known as Dassam Ghagh and also surrounded with charming scenes. You cannot go near water as it is quite dangerous and there are around 300 stairs with levels created so one can stop and click some photos. Ranchi, being located at an altitude of 21,40 feet from sea level, is a popular holiday resort and a place of sacred pilgrimage. Some commonly sights in the town include Ranchi Hill, Tagore Hill, Ranchi Lake etc. A panoramic view of the town can be behind from the hill top. Situated on the hill so one has to climb about 300-400 stairs. In the evening Aarti is done from 07.30 PM to 8 PM with the band and sound. It’s fantastic place and absolutely lovely for the devotees of Lord Shiva, it’s believed that the wish which is asked by the Lord in the temple with the true heart is definitely achieved.There are many other dieties other than shivlinga. It’s at the hill top and we got to muster our energy to reach that top. The view from the top was amazing, more than that you can see the whole city at a glance. This Biodiversity park is in Lalkhatanga village and 1 km from Ring road. Tourist who loves to enjoy leisure of natural beauty along with green vegetation and picnic spot must plan visit to Biodiversity Park in Ranchi. The park has been industrial and supervised under the guidance of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF). They introduce new segment and attraction on regular interval since its establishment in 2012. Biodiversity Park, Ranchi is developed with an aim to conserve rare and essential plants, trees and medicinal herbs. India used to be one of the main places of herb, shrubs and tree plantation. The main objective is to preserve these rare medicinal herbs and plants as conservators of our natural resources and their protection for next generation. The park is spread in the huge area of 542 acres of land with proper distribution of parks, gardens, medicine conservation, animal preservation area and other such. Tickets charge is 30 rupees per person. One can carry your own food and inside some small shop is available.

Dhruwa Dam, Ranchi tourist places

It is one of the biggest dam in Ranchi and situated 15 km away from the city.It’s a beautiful place to see water level and the view. Greenery all around the dam enhances the beauty of the place to a different level. One could see Sri Jagannath Mandir and JSCA stadium on one side which is very close to the dam. Sita Fall, Ranchi tourist places

Sit fall is one of the most beautiful falls in Ranchi, Jharkhand. It is located just 3km after Johna Falls and have a well maintained clean environment. Tourist has to go about 250 stairs down to see the water falls. It is an excellent picnic spot as well. One can even take a bath under the waterfall if they want, it’s not dangerous place but be careful of slippy stones.
