The mausoleum is constructed from marble and red sandstone and has a unique blend of Muslim and Hindu architectural style. It has beautiful carvings used in marble and is decorated with ornaments. The tomb is built on an area of 105 square meters and the compass was used for precision in construction. It is situated in the middle of a charming garden surrounded by high walls. The specialty of this tomb is its door, which is called the Buland Darwaza. Starting from the door, a wide path leads to the tomb. This door is made on an arch and it has four towers made of marble. If seen, its door attracts more people than the tomb.

It is a mausoleum and is named after the colorful Chinese tiles used mainly in it. Chinese rage is the result of the imagination of Mullah Shukrullah Shiraji, the great scholar and poet and Prime Minister of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Built in 1935, the mausoleum is on the banks of the Yamuna River and is one km from the Tomb of Etmadud Daula. It was the first of its kind in India to use elaborately glazed glass tiles. Therefore, it has the distinction of being the historic site of Indian and Persian architectural styles in India. The mausoleum is constructed in rectangular shape and consists mainly of gray stone. Its walls are decorated with colored tiles and signs of Islamic handwriting can be seen on them. The center of the mausoleum is an octagonal shape, with eight curved caves. The biggest feature of this mausoleum is its Afghan style Gol Gumbad on which sacred Islamic words are written. Unfortunately this tomb is now quite desolate, yet it displays its original grandeur.

Mehtab Bagh means garden of moonlight. Spread over 25 acres on the banks of river Yamuna, this garden was constructed between 1631 and 1635.
