Elephant training camp is a must-visit place for visitors. Elephants are trained in small areas on the banks of the Kaveri river. These elephants are trained by a special local tribe, Kurabas. Visitors can see elephant games and elephants.

A beautiful Buddhist monastery located in Baalakupe, a distance of 34 km from Madikeri, 4.5 km from Kushalnagar, 7 km from Kaveri Nisargadhama and 87 km from Mysore, Golden Temple or Namdroling Math. Bailakupe is the second largest Tibetan settlement in India after Dharamsala. This Buddhist monastery is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Coorg.
Bylakuppe is a Tibetan refugee settlement area founded in 1961 by Lugusam Siddupling and Dicky Larsu in 1969 and it is located near Bangalore-Coorg Marg in the west of Mysore district. The main tourist attraction is the magnificent Namdroling Monastery. The popular Namdroling Math, as a Golden Temple, was established in 1963 by Druwang Padma Norbu Rinpoche. In this world, the descendants of Tibetan Buddhism, Nangmapa’s largest learning center, is home to society with more than 5000 monks and nuns. .
The premises of the Golden Temple is very large, and in it are Guru Padmasambhava (also known as Guru Rinpoche), Buddha Shakyamuni and Amitias 40 feet high gold statues. The temple’s tower is highly ornate. The exterior walls flowing towards the entrance are decorated with large colorful murals. There are large cracks of gold in red doors and thick corded ropes with hanging pendants. The walls are decorated with colorful paintings depicting the gods and demons from Tibetan Buddhist mythology.
The monastery not only attracts large number of young Tibetans towards enlightenment and education, but also attracts large number of tourists from all over India and abroad. Watching hundreds of Buddhist monks worshiping religious rituals and praying loud is an exciting scene.

Irupu Falls Coorg tourist places
Iruppu Falls is a beautiful waterfall with the Brahmagiri mountain range in Coorg district of south Karnataka. It is also known as Lakshman Tirtha waterfall, which is a name derived from the river Averi, which is a part of the river Cauvery river, which is a part of it.
People here also come to enjoy the bliss of nature, the grandeur of fall and its religious significance.The famous Shiva temple, Rameshwar, on the banks of the river along the way of the magnificent falls.

Omkareshwara Temple Coorg tourist places
Omkareshwar Temple is located in the middle of Kodi’s Madikeri hill station. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and it was built in 1820 by King Lingarajendra. In this temple, the impact of the architecture of the Muslim period can be seen because in this period Hadar Ali and Tipu Sultan ruled this region.
There is also a dome in the middle of this temple and there are four turret on its four corners.The look of this temple looks like a dargah. There is a Shivling on the entrance of the temple.
There is also a water tank in this temple and in the middle – there is a pavilion in the middle which is connected to the entire temple. The name of this temple has been called Omkareshwar because some people believe that the Shivalinga of this temple was brought by Kashi from Kashi.
It is said that the king had killed a Brahmin to fulfill his political goals and later tried this for his soul’s peace. Later, this soul turned into a Brahmararchakshas and began to bother people. Later Shiv Temple was established in this temple, after which people got salvation from that soul. This temple is completely different from other temples located in Coorg. Nagarhole National Park or Rajiv Gandhi National Park is located in Kodagu district of Karnataka. It is a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and is now under consideration for recognition as a heritage site. Park is full of waterfalls, hills, valleys, rivers and forests.
The park is famous for its rich population of animals and birds.Park is located in the northwest of Karnataka’s Nagarhole National Park. Two parks have been separated by Kabini reservoir.
The name of the park is found in the streams. Naga means snake and holes means currents. Many scorching streams are found in this park and thus the name is this. The park has 47 streams, 41 artificial tanks, four lakes with water in the whole year, 4 perennial streams, a reservoir and a dam.
There are many swamps in this area. This diverse landscape promotes population of different species of animals and birds in this area.Asia has the highest density of herbs in Nagarhole National Park. This park is best to see elephants, guar, tigers and bears.

Brahmagiri Hills is a mountain range and is extensively in Kodagu district of Karnataka and Wayanad district of Kerala. Being a part of the Western Ghats, the area of Brahmagiri hills is rich with dense flora and variety of wildlife.

Tala Kaveri Coorg tourist places
The source of the river Cauvery is situated on the Brahmagiri hill (near the south, not confused with the Brahmagiri range) near Bhagmandla in Kodagu district of Kodagu district of Karnataka. It is located 1,276 meters above sea level. Kodavas had created a tank, which is now considered to be its origin.
It is believed that the origin of the river comes from a tank or coil in the form of a waterfall, and then falls on some distance to become the underground to emerge again in the form of Kaveri. There is a temple at this place which is dedicated to the goddess Kauvariamma which is located next to the tank and it is considered sacred to take a bath in special occasions.
On Kaveri Transformation Day, thousands of pilgrims and tourists flows through the stream by stream for the upliftment of spring water, when river water falls on a pre-determined time. To see the panoramic view of evergreen forest lands and misty hills of Coorg, 407 staircases can climb on top of the hill.

At a distance of 1.5 km from Madikeri Bus Station, the picturesque hill city of Coorg is a popular sight on the south side of Madikeri Fort. It is one of the top tourist destinations to go to Coorg and there is also a famous sunset point in Madikeri. The seat of kings, which means the seat of the kings, is a brick and mortar structure in which four pillars are attached to the arch.
It is built at a high altitude, with a commanding view of rocks and valleys. This lovely place was once the favorite place to entertain the King of Coorg. He spent time with his queen in the garden and watched the sun going down. This place presents a breathtaking view of the gorgeous gorges, huge hills surrounded by paddy fields.
It is fascinating to see the road of Mangalore, like a curved ribbon in the valley. This train takes adults and children around the park to enjoy a spectacular view of the mountains.

Mandalpatti View Point Coorg tourist places
Located 25-30 km from Madikeri city, Mandalpatti is a popular tourist destination. A lush grassland, Mandalpat Patta has recently become popular among tourists. The place is a way out of turmoil and offers some seclusion and peace. This is the perfect place to go for trekking.
However, to go for the tracking, it is necessary to take admission tickets from the officials on the basis of the Mandalapati. Before starting the trek, it is better to equip yourself with all the necessary ingredients because there are no shops. Thus even basic things such as water and food need to be taken.
Once on the top of the hill, tourists will be greeted with cold and soft air with a huge stretch of lush greenery.To reach the Mandalpatti, you have to go through a wandering road, which is 4 km ahead of Abbey Falls. There are no buses to the destination. Thus, it is better to rent a private vehicle.
It is better to avoid going to this place in the rainy season because the road is still not fully developed and in such a case, in the days of heavy rain, the path can be sloppy and slippery.Since bus facility is not yet recommended to take cab or vehicle. The best time to visit the Mandalpatting is from November to January. During the place is usually covered with haze, but the Mandalpatta promotes a beautiful and refreshing atmosphere.

There are a lot of AC as well as Non-AC direct buses from other cities like Chennai (829 km), Hyderabad (620 km) and Vijayawada (355 km). It takes 10-12 hr or overnight journey.
