The temple was built by Chandrao Mor in the 16th century and it is a model of the Hemantantic architectural style of South India. Mahabaleshwar Hills are named after Lord Mahabali, whose name is symbol of strength.The temple is surrounded by a wall of 5 feet and it is divided into two areas, interior rooms and exterior rooms. Shiva Ling is made of black stone in the sanctum sanctorum, which is 500 years old Swayambhu Lingam. This self-made lymph is of Rudraksha and it is called Mahalingam. With their trident of Lord Shiva, their Dumru, Rudraksh and a bed are preserved in this temple and they are almost 300 years old. It is 6 km from Mahabaleshwar bus stand, 116 km from Pune and 252 km from Mumbai, one of the best places in Mahabaleshwar, Lingamal Waterfall, is situated at the top of the Venna Valley in Satara district of Maharashtra. It is one of the best tourist destinations near Pune in monsoon and one of the popular waterfalls in Maharashtra can be seen as part of the Mahabaleshwar package. Located at an altitude of 1278 meters, Lingamal Waterfall, built by the Vena River. There are two waterfalls, a mini waterfall and the main waterfall that falls from the height of 500 feet. The mini waterfall is safe and suitable for swimming and playing in the water. To reach the view of the main waterfall from Mini Falls it has to last 30 minutes. There is no way to get into the water on the main fall, but visitors can see the spectacular views of the spring from the View Point. Lingamal Waterfall is visited by thousands of tourists every year because it is one of the top tourist places of Maharashtra. This waterfall is located on the right side of the road while going from Mahabaleshwar to Panchgani. There is a small signboard that shows directions to the waterfalls. Turn left on narrow road from signboard Drive for about 10 minutes and reach the entrance to the Falls. To reach the small waterfall from the gate, 1.5 km to reach the main waterfall and 2.5 km to reach. There are many stairs to the lower deck, so the trek can be a bit tiring, but the route and view are completely worth it. To reach the lower spring, it takes about 30 minutes from the entrance. The best time to roam is from July to October, when the water falls on its peak flow. Waterfall can be dangerous in the rainy season, so swimming is not advisable.
