The long and beautiful Calangute in North Goa, is a frequently visited beach. It is located 12 km from Panaji. There are frequent buses and plenty of taxis that will take you to Calangute. And a lot of  shops that sell everything from jewelry to handicrafts are situated in this area.  Around Christmas time many tourist come here to enjoy the beach. If you plan to visit it is advisable to make sure your bookings are done well in advance. Calangute is full of activity. One can enjoy water sports like Scuba Diving, Jet skiing, Banana Ride, snorkeling and many more. Tourist also take interest in different kind of activity like Yoga, Meditation, Reiki and Karate courses. One also finds a great number of massage parlors in this area. The active nightlife of Calangute is popular all over. There are a few nightclubs that are open till the morning. It is easy Accessible to Panji Bus stand, It take 20 minutes to reach. A number of buses operate between Panaji and Calangute, Some of them continue on to Baga Beach.

Vagator is a favorite tourist spot, is also quite popular beach with the tour operators. A little further south of this main beach is a peaceful beach known as ‘Little Vagator’. This beach has a fresh water pool. Little Vagator also has a number of good restaurants. There are a few guest houses here mostly run by families, that are offered at reasonable rates.

Anjuna Beach is situated 8 km away from the city of Mapusa. Anjuna is famous for its flea market which is held every Wednesday. The beach was a famous handout for Indian and international tourists. It is located 18 kms away from Panaji and the river Mandovi. It is one of the strongest fort of Goa and built by the Portuguese in 1609-1612. A 19th century built lighthouse is located inside the fortress.

Chapora Fort North Goa tourist places

This fort was built in 1717 by the Adil Shah of Bijapur on the southern headland of the Chapora river. It has a superior view of the Vagator beach and is close to Anjuna beach. This is the fort where the famous  movie “DIL CHAHTA HAI” was shot. Early morning and evening time is the best time to enjoy sunrise and sunset view. The view from the top is amazing with greenery and beach view.

Goa Internation Aiport(GOI), Damboline Airport is 29 km away from Panjim with good connectivity with other major Airport. Busses, Taxi available to reach desire location or Hotels.

North Goa By Train:

Vasco da Gama railway Station(VSG) is located 28 km away from Panjim with good connectivity with other major station. After getting down at the station Busses, taxis available to reach Hotels or desire located.

One can get regular bus from other Major City and reach Goa. Kadamba Bus stand and Panji Bus Stand are two main Bus Stand in Goa. Taxi, Car or government bus available to reach destination. State transport bus also available to reach Goa.
